Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and HOK TV (“HOK TV”, “we”, “us”) for using the HOK TV website and streaming service. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer-protection law, including the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.

You must be at least 13 to create an account. If you are under 18, you may use HOK TV only with a parent or guardian’s permission, and they must make any payment. Some titles are rated for adults — please respect age ratings; the 18+ filter in your Content settings can hide them.

• Give accurate details and keep them up to date.
• Keep your password private. You are responsible for activity on your account; tell us straight away at support@hoktv.com if you think it has been misused.
• Accounts are personal — don’t sell, transfer or share your sign-in details.
• You can see and sign out your devices at any time from Your devices.

A free account lets you watch titles marked as free. HOK TV+ is a paid membership that unlocks every title marked HOK TV+.

• Prepaid, no automatic renewal. You pay once for a month or a year of access. We never charge you again unless you choose to buy more time.
• Extending adds the new period on top of any time you have left.
• When it ends, your account goes back to free. Your list and history stay.
• Prices are shown in US dollars (and other currencies where offered) and confirmed at checkout before you pay. Your bank may add its own foreign-exchange charges. We may change prices for future purchases; a change never affects time you have already paid for.
• Promo codes are subject to the discount, usage limit and expiry shown when you apply them. They have no cash value and can’t be exchanged.
• Titles marked HOK TV+ may change over time as we add or remove content.

Payments are processed by Paystack on its secure page, under Paystack’s terms. We never receive your card details. Your membership starts as soon as Paystack confirms the payment.

Because memberships are prepaid and never renew automatically, payments are non-refundable once your membership is active, except where the law requires a refund. If you were charged in error, charged twice, or paid but did not receive access, email support@hoktv.com within 14 days with your payment reference (shown in Payments) and we will put it right — by activating your access or refunding you.

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to stream titles on HOK TV for your own non-commercial viewing. You may not:

• download, record, copy, re-stream, broadcast or publicly screen any title or trailer (other than through features we provide, like Share);
• get around our encryption, access controls or geographic restrictions;
• use bots, scrapers or other automated tools to access the service;
• use the service for anything unlawful, or in a way that disrupts it for others.

Many titles on HOK TV are created with the help of artificial-intelligence tools, and title pages may say which tools were used. Availability, quality and supported devices can vary, and streaming quality depends on your internet connection.

You can rate titles you have watched. Ratings are combined into each title’s public average and count; your individual rating is not shown with your name. You give us permission to use your ratings in this way. We may remove ratings that appear fraudulent or abusive.

The HOK TV name, logo, website and apps, and the films, series, artwork and trailers on them, belong to HOK TV or to the creators and partners who license them to us, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. Apart from the right to watch described above, these terms don’t give you any rights in them. If you believe something on HOK TV infringes your rights, email support@hoktv.com.

You can delete your account at any time. Deleting it ends any remaining membership time, which is not refunded.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used for fraud or abuse, or puts other users or the service at risk. Where reasonable, we will tell you why and give you a chance to respond. If we close your account without a good reason, we will refund any unused membership time.

We work to keep HOK TV available and improving, but we may change, pause or stop features or titles, and the service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or reasons outside our control. If we stop offering HOK TV+, we will refund any unused paid time.

We provide HOK TV with reasonable care and skill. Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is”, without promises that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that were not foreseeable or that result from your own breach of these terms, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or any other liability that cannot legally be limited.

We may update these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. We will show the new effective date at the top and, for important changes, tell you by email or in the app before they take effect. If you continue to use HOK TV after that, the new terms apply; if you don’t agree, you can stop using the service and delete your account.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If you have a problem, please contact us first at support@hoktv.com — most issues can be solved quickly. Any dispute we can’t resolve will be decided by the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria, unless the law of the country where you live gives you the right to bring it there.
